"Transmission of the 16th Karmapa"H.H. 16th Karmapa

The late 16th Karmapa was one of the great meditation masters of Tibet. He was considered by many to be a living Buddha, and deeply inspired many people who met him. Lama Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah were very close students of the 16th Karmapa, who he sent to teach Buddhism in the western world.  At this very special and rare course, Lama Ole will share the transmission of experience, understanding and inspiration of the 16th Karmapa.

The Edmonton Diamond Way Buddhist Centre

The Edmonton Diamond Way Buddhist Centre is part of an international network of over 600 meditation centres in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The centres were founded and are directed by Lama Ole Nydahl according to the wishes of H.H. 16th Karmapa. The centres are now under the spiritual guidance of H.H. 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje.

The Edmonton Diamond Way Buddhist Centre is a registered non-profit society founded by a group of lay Buddhists in 1994 with the goal of making authentic Buddhist teachings available for those who are interested.

We hold a short public lecture and guided meditation at the centre every Wednesday at 8:00 pm (13015-117 Ave). There is no charge and no previous experience is necessary.
